The Flame Altar, your anchor
Everything starts at the Flame Altar: it's your respawn point, it defines your build area and it pushes back the Shroud around it. Place it on solid, central ground — you'll build your base around it.
Feed it Shroud cores (dropped by bigger Shroud enemies) to raise its level: each level widens the build zone and unlocks new crafting tiers.
Gather, craft, build
Punch then chop trees for wood, mine stone, and craft your first axe, pickaxe and a simple shelter. From there the loop is: harvest → craft a better tool → reach new resources.

The Shroud (Brume)
The Shroud is the toxic fog covering parts of the world. Inside, a timer counts down — leave before it runs out or you'll start taking damage. Those zones hide the best loot, Ancient Vaults and quest objectives, so you'll dip in often.
Activate Ancient Spires to reveal the map around them: they're your main landmarks and fast-travel anchors.
Wake your first artisans
Crafting opens up when you wake survivors sleeping in Ancient Vaults. Each artisan unlocks a workshop and a family of recipes — the Blacksmith for weapons and metal tools, the Alchemist for potions, and so on.
Follow the recommended path in the NPC awakening order guide, browse them all on the NPCs page, and find their vaults on the interactive map.
Track your progress
As you play, star your favorite items and NPCs, tick off finished quests and mark found locations — it all gathers on your progress page.
